While laboratory tests account for only about two percent of medical spending1, they drive 70 percent of medical decisions2. Yet only 1/3 of professionally ordered lab tests are completed each year3. That’s 4.2B missed opportunities every year.
Why? Because diagnostic testing has not kept pace with the technology-fueled innovations that have transformed medical practices like patient check-in, patient record-keeping, and patient-provider communications. The patient process of diagnostic lab testing remains more opaque and inconvenient than it needs to be, leaving too many tests unfulfilled, patients and providers frustrated, and countless opportunities to improve clinical outcomes wasted. Poor investment in diagnostic infrastructure has also slowed the adoption of a greater number of therapies in the home, which limits the adoption of new care modalities outside of the four walls of a facility.
Claire was founded by entrepreneurs and technologists who experienced the inefficiencies and complexities of today’s diagnostic testing landscape firsthand. Drawing on their experiences at LivePerson, one of the world’s leading providers of enterprise-grade, trustworthy conversational AI, they knew there had to be a better way. Since its inception inventing webchat for brands, LivePerson has helped the world’s top companies generate better business outcomes and now manages nearly a billion conversational interactions every month.
The innovators behind Claire designed Claire’s AI-powered patient engagement platform from the ground-up to reduce the many barriers to test completion. Through information on the diagnostics process, patient choice, results translated into plain language, and provides patient prompts for next steps based on results, making it easier to facilitate patient communications with healthcare professionals. Claire streamlines test prep and collection, while setting the stage for any needed subsequent care.
Our mandate is to help customers – laboratories, digital health providers, payors and biopharma firms – make their patients successful. We do this by removing the emotional and practical barriers that stand between patients and test fulfillment. We make it easy to access and complete diagnostic tests. Doing so provides the information providers need to effectively diagnose, treat, and monitor conditions. More tests fulfilled leads to better healthcare outcomes—and that’s good for everyone.
